With the permission of our Editor-in-chief, the undersigned has been instructed by our Convention to give a report in our Standard Bearer, concerning the latest activities and undertakings of our youth as they are organized into various Societies. We sincerely thank our Editor for this allotted space. Our first National Convention of Young People’s Societies was held August 2 and 3, in the auditorium of our South Holland Church. A year ago the desire was expressed by members of the South Holland Society to unite more closely the young people’s societies, and immediately a committee was appointed to study the...

On April 11 the ministers of Classis East held the first meeting of their newly organized Ministers Conference. Taking a lesson from the past the organization has adopted a setup different: from the previous conferences which were organized only to pass out of existence after a few meetings. Last year’s Synod of the Protestant Reformed Churches instructed the Contact Committee to come to Synod 2016 with a detailed and grounded recommendation about revision of the Psalter. Jason L. Kortering is pastor of the Protestant Reformed Church of Grandville, Michigan. Our tri-star jet sliced through the night as we flew from Detroit to Montreal to London on October 28. Being excited and full of anticipation, rest didn’t come easily. Dinner was served at 9:30 p.m. and after that the cabin darkened. What does a person do in a confined seat, darkness outside, quietness inside? Meditate, listen to music, watch a video, talk, sleep? After we made a few fitful attempts at snoozing, the voice on the intercom dutifully announced that breakfast would he served prior to landing...

Greetings to our beloved churches in the U.S.A. who have called us and support us continually in the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ on the mission field. It is our joy to report to you again of how the Lord has blessed His church here and added unto her such as must be saved. The Lord continues to reward all those who have given and supported this cause. As your missionaries we daily give thanks that the Lord has given to us the great privilege of being involved in the work of missions and witnessing how the Lord prospers...

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ Who gathers, defends, and preserves His church even unto the ends of the earth. Once again there are many exciting things to tell you about the Lord’s work in His church here in Singapore. He continues to cause His church to grow and prosper in His grace. On January 22 we celebrated the second anniversary of the institution of the church. This was a special Lord’s Day for us beginning with a special worship service where Pastor Lau preached the Word and concluding with an afternoon program of praise and thanks...
