July 3, 1974 Southwest Prot. Ref Church  Classis East met in regular session on July 3, 1974 in Southwest Prot. Ref. Church with all the churches, except Prospect Park, represented by two delegates. Mr. Thomas Nelson, elder from Prospect Park, was present without credentials and thus could be given advisory vote only. Four elders, present at classis for the first time, signed the Formula of Subscription.

Classis East met in regular session on July 2, 1975 at the First Prot. Ref. Church of Holland, Michigan. Each church was represented by two delegates. The session was brief, the business routine, but the fellowship experienced and the unity evidenced was plenty reason to give thanks to God for calling the representatives of the congregations together. Rev. R. Van Overloop chaired this session of the classis.

Rev. A. den Hartog of Prospect Park, New Jersey, lead Classis in opening devotions. After the reading and acceptance of the credentials of the churches represented, Classis was declared properly constituted. At this time Rev. J. A. Heys, by order of rotation, took up the chairmanship. Before attending to the business of Classis, Rev. Heys addressed a few words of welcome to the delegates.

September 10, 2008 Trinity Protestant Reformed Church Hudsonville, Michigan Classis East met in regular session on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Trinity PRC, Hudsonville, MI. Each church was represented by two delegates; Rev. R. Kleyn was the chairman for this session. Special welcome was given to the delegates from Providence PRC, which sent delegates to classis for the first time since their organization. The business for this session proved to be routine. Reports from committees, construction of a classical appointment schedule for Grace PRC and Providence PRC, were handled with dispatch. Classis did have an appeal from a brother,...

September 9, 1981 Southwest Prot. Ref. Church Classis East met in regular session on September 9, 1981 at the Southwest Prot. Ref. Church. All the churches were represented by two delegates. Rev. W. Bruinsma chaired the meeting. In attendance also were Rev. S. Houck and Rev. J. Kortering.  The business of the session was routine with the exception of a discipline matter brought by one of the consistories. This matter was treated in closed session.  Expenses for the classis amounted to $762.00.

Classis East met in regular session on May 10, 1978 at Holland, Michigan. All churches were represented by two delegates. Of particular note is that for two of the ministers in attendance, Rev. Schipper and Rev. Veldman, this meeting marked the last time that they would attend as delegates of the congregations they now serve. Both will retire in June. Also present was Rev. Lubbers who has recently moved from Pella, Iowa upon his retirement from serving our congregation there. The classis will miss the wisdom and counsel of these men.
