REPORT OF CLASSIS EAST January 3, 4,—February 7-12, 1968 At Southeast Church  Rev. H. Veldman, who presided over the October Classis, led in the opening devotions. All the churches of Classis East were represented by a full delegation. After the Classis was declared properly constituted, the Rev. J.A. Heys presided, while the Rev. H. Veldman recorded the minutes. Later Rev. Veldman was excused, and the Rev. R.C. Harbach took his place.  The routine reports of the Stated Clerk and the Classical Committee were read and filed.

January 8, 1969 At Southeast Church  Rev. G.C. Lubbers led in the opening devotions. All the churches of Classis East were represented by two delegates each.  Rev. G. Van Baren, following the order of rotation, presided over this session, while the Rev. Lubbers recorded the minutes.  The brethren J. Boone and R. Teitsma were appointed to the finance committee, and brother J. King was appointed to thank the ladies of Southeast for their excellent catering.

Report of Classis East meeting in regular session on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 and in continued session on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the Southwest Protestant Reformed Church. Classis East met in regular session on September 13, 2006 at the Southwest PRC. All churches were represented by two delegates. Also present were the delegates ad examina from Classis West because of the examination of Pastor-elect Andrew Lanning. There were two main issues before the classis at this meeting: 1) the peremptoir examination of Pastor-elect Andrew Lanning, who had accepted the call from our Faith PRC, and 2) the consideration of the instruction...

Rev. J.A. Heys led in the opening devotions, and by order of rotation was succeeded by Rev. J. Kortering.  All the churches were represented by two delegates each. Much of the first part of this session was taken up with routine matters, such as reading of the minutes, reports of the Stated Clerk and Classical Committee, appointment of a finance committee consisting of Elders D. Langeland and R. Teitsma.

April 6, 1966 At Southwest Church  Rev. G.J. VanBaren led in the opening devotions. And after he declared the classis properly constituted, he recorded minutes while Rev. R. C. Harbach presided. All the churches were fully represented.  This very brief session of classis treated mostly routine matters.  The Classical Committee was instructed to prepare a constitution governing its work, and present it to the next classical meeting for approval.
