News From Our Churches

Mr. Wigger is a member of the Protestant Reformed Church of Hudsonville, Michigan. Congregational Highlights On May 16, Rev. and Mrs. B. Gritters were blessed with the addition of a baby girl to their family. Lisa Jean becomes the first girl born to the Gritters after five boys. During their church renovation, the congregation of Hope PRC in Walker, MI has arranged to timeshare the auditorium of the Southwest PRC. A typical Sunday begins with Southwest meeting at 9:30 AM, followed by Hope’s congregation at 1 PM, followed by Southwest at 5:00 PM, and Hope again at 7:30 PM. On...

May 8 & 21, 1991  Classis East met in regular session on Wednesday, May 8, 1991 with a continued session on Tuesday, May 21st, at the First Protestant Reformed Church of Holland, Michigan. These sessions were chaired by Rev. Barry Gritters.

The Seminary Library

Prof. Decker is professor of Practical Theology in the Protestant Reformed Seminary. The synod of our Protestant Reformed Churches adopted the following proposal presented by the Theological School Committee (TSC): The TSC proposes that we begin work on an expansion of the seminary building to include the following needs:  1. Relocate the library to an area more conducive to reading and studying and increase its size to double its present size. 1991 Synod of the PRC

The 52nd annual synod of the Protestant Reformed Churches met in Grand Rapids, Michigan from June 11 to June 17. It was fitting that the Hope Church of Grand Rapids hosted this synod, since Hope is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.
