ROCKEFELLER’S DIVORCE  The question has repeatedly come up in the last months whether Nelson Rockefeller’s recent divorce and remarriage are going to harm his political career, and particularly, his chances for the Republican presidential nomination.  The editor of the Roman Catholic paper “Our Sunday Visitor” writes about this:

The Baptism Form

Three parts there are to the doctrine of holy baptism. Though these three may be distinguished, they are not to be separated since baptism is one; and therefore the doctrinal facets are to be integrated. The three parts of the doctrine of holy baptism are like three links of a chain, welded together by God in such a way that they cannot be severed.

The Lord Jesus hath, in this ordinance, appointed his ministers to declare his word of institution to the people, to pray, and bless the elements of bread and wine, and thereby to set them apart from a common to an holy use; and to take and break the bread, to take the cup, and (they communicating also themselves.) to give both to the communicants; but to none who are not present in the congregation.

It is evident that circumcision was a sign of the work of God’s grace in the heart, whereby the heart is filled with the love of God; and therefore, it was a sign of the same grace that is signified in baptism.
