The author is Chaplain and Pastoral Counselor at the Christian Sanatorim in Wycoff, New Jersey. He writes this brief pamphlet to develop what he calls a “Christian Psychotherapy” which he defines “as a Talk technique for the treatment of certain kids of ‘mental illness.'” Recognizing the inadequacy of modern psychiatric treatment. The author lays down an outline for a Christian approach to pastoral counseling which, though brief, will be of some help to those who are engaged in this work.
