Mission Activities The congregation of the Hull, Iowa PRC was called to a divine worship service on the evening of December 11 to witness the installation of Rev. R. Miersma into the office of missionary to the saints in Ghana, West Africa. Rev. S. Key, pastor at Hull, led the worship service, preaching from Isaiah 60:4, 5, with Rev. D. Denomination Activities In June our churches celebrated their 75th anniversary as a denomination with a week-long celebration at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. For five days members of various of our churches in North America, as well as sister churches and friends from various mission fields, were able to enjoy each other’s company, and fellowship centered in God’s Word. Evangelism Activities The Covenant PRC in Wyckoff, NJ has been busy the past several months with evangelism efforts in their surrounding neighborhood. The congregation celebrated their annual Christmas dinner on Saturday evening, December 13. Covenant was delighted to be joined by quite a few of their contacts from the area. Those who attended enjoyed plenty of good food, singing, fellowship, and games and gifts for the children. Evangelism Activities This summer the members of the Covenant PRC in Wyckoff, NJ have been keeping themselves busy with various evangelism outreaches. First, back on June 24, they were able to distribute many pamphlets and Standard Bearers at an event known as “Big Splash,” in Ocean Grove, NJ. This event, sponsored by a local Christian radio station, gave Covenant the opportunity also to speak to many individuals about their particular beliefs. Spriensma, our denomination’s missionary to the Philippines, continues to be very busy heading into the new year. On a Saturday morning in early January, he began his day with a church meeting with all the heads of households of the members of the Berean Church of God Reformed in Manila, followed by teaching a Reformed church government class, and then a Board of Trustees meeting.
