All Articles For Straayer M. A.

(Note: This is the third and last guest article by brother Straayer, a member ,of our Edmonton, Alberta, Protestant Reformed Church. HCH)  In the preceding articles we wrote about the call and the expectation, even in our situation today. Both articles ended with the words “By Faith,” and therefore we will now spend some thought in this last article onBY FAITH. 

As in other years, we also this year received visitors from our churches. There were brethren and sisters from: Victoria, BC; Isabel, SD; Lynden, WA; Loveland, CO; South Holland, IL; and Hudsonville, MI. It is good to visit with these brethren and sisters, and experience the real, communion of the saints. And it is with pleasure that we bring into practice the admonition of the Lord from I Peter 4:9. 

Last year in the Standard Bearer there were two articles by Prof. H. C. Hoeksema dealing with our apparent over-supply of ministers. Prof. Hoeksema, however, pointed out that although there might be surplus at present, figured over the next five years or so, there is no surplus at all; and he very directly asked the question whether the Lord had a purpose in providing us with such an abundance.
