To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens; So states the Word of God as may be found in Ecclesiastes 3:1. In verse 2, and continuing to the end of the book, there are ample illustrations how we mortals are restricted to, are subject to, the regimentation of the time factor in our lives. September 20, 1990 Dear Members and Supporters of the R.F.P.A. (Standard Bearer publication): Until one is personally involved to some degree, it is so easy to dismiss from one’s mind all the required time and effort and cost that go into a finished product—namely, in this case, Volume 66 of the SB, and also the related work of the Permanent Committee for the Publication of Protestant Reformed Literature. Report of Eastern Ladies’ League Our fall meeting of the Ladies’ League of the Protestant Reformed Churches was held in our Hudsonville church on the evening of October 18, 1962. We began our meeting with singing from Psalter No. 374 and a Dutch Psalm, No. 43 verse 3. Mrs. D. Jonker, President of the League, then read from Eccesiastes 2:1-11 and Rev. 13:11-18 and opened with prayer to our covenant God. A double trio from the Priscilla Society of First Church sang for us No. 60 from the Psalter. Mrs. Jonker then introduced the speaker for the evening, Rev. J. Heys. He...

Looking back at the activities and accomplishments of the R.F.P.A. during the past publication year, what can be more properly said than that our God is ever Faithful, ever Sure.  Volume 58 of the Standard Bearer is history; but putting our hand to the plow, we go forward in the confidence that, if the Lord wills, Volume 59, page by page, issue by issue, will go forth to the ends of the earth.
