Report of Classis East Convened, Jan. 5, at Grand Rapids, Mich. Classis East met in the auditorium of the Second Protestant Reformed Church of Grand Rapids, Mich., January 5, 1949. The Chairman of the previous meeting Rev. S. Van den Berg, called the meeting to order and conducted the opening exercises. After the singing of Psalter No. 239 he reads I Cor. 4 and leads in prayer.

Report of Classis East Convened, July 6, at Grand Rapids, Mich. The July session of Classis East was opened with the singing of Psalter No. 165. Rev. R. Veldman, the president of the last Classis reads Psalm 25 and leads in prayer. The credentials are read and accepted. Classis declared constituted. According to rotation, Rev. G. Vos presides. Rev. H. De Wolf functions as stated clerk in the absence of Mr. D. Jonker.

In the Standard Bearer, Jan. 15, 1950, the Revs. Kok and De Jong attempt to clear themselves by quoting two telegrams they have received from the Netherlands. But their attempt to clear themselves ends in complete failure. These telegrams do not deny that they made the statements ascribed to them in the letter of Prof. Holwerda.
