May the Lord of His Church give Loveland the man of His choice in His time.  In most of our churches the nominations for office bearers have been announced. Let us realize our calling to function in the Office of Believers in the church by casting our ballots when called upon to give our approbation to these nominations.

Randolph’s congregation has called the Rev. A. Mulder, of Kalamazoo, to be their pastor. Rev. Mulder has been granted an extension of time to answer the call from Isabel-Forbes because of a congregational meeting in those churches regarding a new location for church and parsonage. The Radio Committee or the Reformed Witness Hoiur wishes to remind our readers of the special program to be held, D.V., Thursday evening at 8 P.M. Jan. 25. The RFPA (Standard Bearer) met in annual session Sept. 25 at First church. The brethren R. Bloem, D. Engelsma and C. Kregel were elected to serve on the board. The high light of the evening was a speech by the Rev. H.C. Hoeksema. The Reverend challenged the members and the board to renewed zeal for their mission—the witness of The Standard Bearer in the church world. The constructive criticism offered by the speaker will serve as an excellent guide to the board in the coming year.

Rev. A. Mulder, of Kalamazoo, has declined the call he received from the churches in Isabel and Forbes; he is still considering call from our church in Randolph, Wisconsin. Rev. H.H. Kuiper from Loveland, heeded a call last week of a highly different nature—the kind that comes to each of us but once, and cannot be declined. From a trio which included Revs. R. Decker, D. Engelsma, and R. Harbach, our South Holland, Illinois congregation has extended a call to Rev. R. Decker to become their pastor. In answer to the call of Southwest Church Diaconate for used clothing for the Jamaican needy, Rev. Moore’s people utilized the opportunity to send a very large carton of clothing to the Grand Rapids church by a Michigan visitor at Classis West.
