On the evening of the eighth of December, the League of Men’s Societies held its second meeting of the season. This meeting was held at Hudsonville in Rev. J. De Jong’s church. The attendance was good, and as the acting vice-president said, “‘t Valt me mee.” He had not expected so many present in Hudsonville. The Annual Meeting of the League of Men’s Societies is to be held the Lord willing, on April 21 in the Fuller Ave., Church Parlors at 8:00 P. M. Rev. P. De Boer, of South Holland, Ill., is scheduled to address the meeting on the topic: “The Present Day International State of Affairs in the Light of Prophecy.” This speech promises to be instructive and interesting. There will be a League Membership meeting in the basement of the Fuller Ave. church on October 21. Rev. J. De Jong of Hudsonville will speak on the subject: “To What Extent are Employees’ and Employees’ Organizations and Business Associations Justifiable?” This subject will be discussed after recess. Come one, come all!

It goes without saying that all those who have the cause of the Protestant Reformed churches at heart are interested in the doings of the organizations in their midst. The League of Protestant Reformed Men’s Societies is one of those organizations. That it is active and alive was again borne out by our last meeting which was held in the evening of the 17th of January in the Creston Protestant Reformed church.
